I've loved Tori Amos since the age of 10. So it came as no surprise... when I started to cry the second she sat down at that piano. Luckily I had my sister-pants right there next to me, crying just the same. Right now it's hard to describe, but looking back it seems very simple. Tori's music has been with me for 23 years now, which is quite remarkable, therefore no tears were denied. It was overwhelming and long over-due but the fact that my sister-pants and I sang Happy Birthday to Tori Amos.... well that, was just icing on the cake.

Temporary Ground
"You don't write because someone sets assignments! You write because you need to write, or because you hope someone will listen or because writing will mend something broken inside you or bring something back to life."- Joanne Harris.

Straight to the moon, Alice!
The good news... I now have wireless. The even better news, I can stumble across epic photos such as this.
"Anna Fisher, astronaut, with stars in her eyes. The first mother in space."

If they've got the land, then I've got the view.
Melbourne may be my favorite spot here in Florida. When you sleep with the hotel door open to the sounds of the ocean, and wake up to this in the morning, you realize just how beautiful life can be.

Tiny Desk Concert
On better terms since Birmingham?
Strange how that certain song seems to find you, with a video in tow, none the less.
"Making something out of nothing with a scratcher and our hope
With two old guitars like a shovel and a rope"

Break-Science
Flash-dance-sister-pants and I were the actual.... last people to show up at the Depeche Mode show last weekend.
Being over a hour late to her favorite band slowed neither of us down.
That sister-pants of mine conducted a mean drum solo during the Depeche Mode show, she was right-on-Q with every single drum snare echoing the stadium last Saturday night. Dancing along to her "air drum solo" occupied most of stellar dance-moves. There's a reason we're called "The Science Sisters" she brings the beat, and I bring the dance.
"IN CASE OF EMERGENCY.... BREAK DANCE!"
